Three reasons a spotless building still gets complaints
A building passes every cleaning audit and the complaints keep arriving. None of the three causes sit in the cleaning contract.
The audit checks the work
A cleaning audit proves the job was done. How the room lands on the people standing in it is not part of the check.
Nobody owns the feeling
Light, scent and visible staff decide whether a space reads as clean, as 19,206 rail passengers confirmed.
There is no evidence
Hospitals score 98.6% on cleaning audits and still field complaints about cleanliness. Without evidence, perceived cleanliness stays an opinion, not a number.
Deutsche Bahn raised cleaning budgets by 25% at thirty major stations, aimed at how the stations feel, not how they score on a checklist.
Built on five researched drivers of cleanliness perception
Every room is scored on five factors, so the conversation is about perceived cleanliness, not cleaning alone. Each factor traces back to published research on how people experience buildings.
Visible cleanliness, sensory environment and building condition can be scored directly from photos. User behaviour and human interaction need someone on site to observe them and aren't part of a photo-only scan.
From walkthrough to finished report in a day
Walk the rooms with your phone
Open the building and work through the rooms in order. Photograph each one and log what a photo misses: smell, sound, temperature.

The analysis runs while you keep going
This is AI cleaning inspection at work. Photos are processed in the background as you move through the building, every room scored against the same five factors.
A person checks every finding before it ships
Nothing reaches the report unreviewed. Each finding is approved, edited or removed by a person before the report goes out, so the AI proposes and a person decides.
Review, brand and send
Export the cleaning inspection report as PDF, print it or pass it on, in English, German or Dutch. Rescan the same rooms later, on the same scale, to show what changed.
The judgement stays yours. We take out the busywork.
A 6.3 is not a near-miss
Every factor gets a score out of 10, with a plain-language label attached.
In the airport terminal scan above, the building averaged 6.3 across seven rooms and three photo-scored factors, comfortably inside the "good" band. The same scale is used on every scan, so results are comparable across rooms, buildings and time.

Questions we get asked
How reliable is the AI analysis?+
Every room is assessed against the same fixed set of research-based cues, so scoring is consistent across rooms, buildings and time. Every finding links to photo evidence, and every report carries a methodology annex. You review and edit everything before it reaches your client. We call the model research-based rather than validated. During the founding programme we calibrate scores against on-site user surveys and publish what we learn.
How is my data protected?+
Data is hosted in the EU, and a data processing agreement (GDPR / UK GDPR) comes standard. Photos capture spaces, not people. A scan documents rooms; it does not assess staff. You stay in control of your data; deletion on request.
What does it cost after the founding period?+
Founding partners pay €99 per month in year one. Planned standard pricing: from €149 per scan on credits, or €199 per month with scans included. Final pricing lands at public launch. One sold audit covers many months of the tool.
Can't I just do this with ChatGPT?+
You can prompt a model to comment on a photo. What you can't get: consistent scoring across 15 rooms and repeat visits, a dossier per building, trends, a multilingual PDF, or a methodology annex procurement can interrogate. What you get here is a repeatable process. ChatGPT gives you a model and a blank prompt.
What is a "Feel Index"?+
Feel Index is our name for the cleanliness score Clean Insights produces per room. It's built from the five drivers above, so a low score always points to a specific, fixable cause instead of a vague complaint.
How is the score calculated?+
Each of the five drivers gets a score out of 10, with a plain-language label: excellent, good, sufficient or poor. Every scan uses the same scale, so scores are comparable across rooms, buildings, and over time if you rescan.
Is this the same as a cleaning audit?+
No. A cleaning audit checks whether cleaning tasks were carried out correctly. Clean Insights scores perceived cleanliness: how the room reads to the people in it, which includes factors a task-based audit does not cover, like lighting, clutter and material wear.
